The signals, probabilities, and recommendations surfaced by TickerFlare are statistical patterns derived from historical data. They are educational tools, not investment advice. You are solely responsible for your trading decisions and any gains or losses that result.
What TickerFlare offers
TickerFlare analyzes news flow, price action, and SEC filings to surface patterns that have, in the past, preceded directional moves in publicly-traded US equities. We show the historical hit rate, expected return, and other statistics of those patterns, plus a paper-trading interface for tracking what you would have done if you'd acted on them.
What TickerFlare is not
- Not a broker. We don't execute any real-money trades or hold any of your funds.
- Not a registered investment adviser. No content here is personalized investment advice within the meaning of the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 or any state-level equivalent.
- Not a guarantee. Every probability shown is calibrated against historical data. Past performance does not guarantee future results — and we say this every place we surface a number for a reason.
Your account
You sign in with a GitHub or Google account. Keep those credentials safe; we have no way to recover them on your behalf. You're responsible for activity on your account.
You may delete your account at any time from your account page. We'll remove your data per the Privacy Policy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, hammer, or otherwise abuse the API or web pages in ways that degrade service for other users.
- Reverse-engineer or copy the pattern definitions, statistics, or models for commercial republication.
- Use TickerFlare to facilitate market manipulation, insider trading, or any other illegal activity.
- Misrepresent TickerFlare content as financial advice when sharing it (e.g., reposting our signals as your own investment recommendations).
We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
Backtested data, real markets
Pattern statistics are computed from a fixed historical dataset (news, prices, filings) over a defined window. Markets change; what worked in 2022 may not work in 2027. The empirical-calibration table in the digest is one attempt to keep that honest — it backtests confluence against historical outcomes and surfaces the measured hit rate, not a smooth formula. We refresh this calibration periodically.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TickerFlare and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the service — including but not limited to trading losses, missed opportunities, or data errors. Your sole remedy if you're unhappy with the service is to stop using it.
Termination
You can stop using TickerFlare anytime; we can stop providing it anytime. If we terminate your account for cause (abuse, violation of these terms), we'll tell you why. If we stop the service entirely we'll give you reasonable notice and a way to export your paper-trade history.
Changes
If we change these terms, the "Last updated" date changes and material changes get an in-app notice on your next sign-in. Continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the state of residence of the operator, without reference to conflict of laws principles. Any dispute will first be addressed by good faith negotiation; failing that, by the courts of competent jurisdiction in that state.
